I'm delighted on this watch. The blue dial is often a pleasure to check out as well as the ease of solar charging should hopefully show that I am going to never have to take this watch in for a battery change. Since the majority with the watch size etc. specifications are listed on Skagen's website in good detail That's not me going to repeat them here. The items that is missing is information on the charging time and what happens to the watch when it looses power. In sunny conditions, the watch needs 16.9 hours for just a full charge and 6 minutes for 1 days operation. With indoor fluorescent lighting those numbers are 484 hours and a couple of.8 hours. So make a point your watch gets enough sun damage, It's my job to just ensure that is stays close to the windows when not in use possesses not given me any risk inside the 4 weeks I have owned it. Also when the watch looses power it ought to warn you by moving the seconds hand every 2 seconds instead of 1 second. I don't know of how these stats look when compared with other solar watches. Speculate they mention that it runs on the Miyota Japanese movement I searched to view what all solar movements are created my Miyota. Apparently , only 1 solar movement shows up on Miyotas webpage looking at the pdf files posted there, it seem which the solar cell shape for this Skagen watch matches it. So my best guess is this watch relies on a Miyota 5L81 3 hands solar movement which may run upto 5 months after full-charge. Cleaning it once a including links on the specification for the movement but Amazon fudged them up, so try to find the language "Miyota 5L81 solar movement" on the internet without worrying about quotes to get the pdf.
